APSP Presents Technical Program at NEHA Conference

Members of the Recreational Water Quality Committee (RWQ) presented three educational programs June 24 during the 2008 Annual Conference and Exposition of the National Environmental Health Association’s (NEHA) in Tucson, AZ. The RWQ program is part of an all-day swimming pool/recreational waters track, which is jointly sponsored by NEHA and APSP. NEHA is the national professional society for environmental health practitioners. This was the fourth consecutive year that APSP and NEHA collaborated.

Presentations were made on the new APSP draft standard for Water Quality in Public Pools and Spas by Ellen Meyer, PhD, Arch Chemicals, Inc.; Hot Water Chemistry and Recreational Water Illnesses in Spas by Geoffrey Brown, BioLab, A Chemtura Company; and Testing Interferences by Tom Seechuk, LaMotte Company. Copies of the presentation were distributed to all attendee with the program proceedings.
