Industry Leaders Needed for Special Assignment
Have you been thinking that it's time to get involved and make a difference? “We need passionate people who understand that education increases professionalism and helps our overall industry become more successful,” says APSP Board Member Kathleen Carlson, one of the volunteers from various segments of the industry who have worked together as a team and laid the groundwork for APSP’s new Career Institute Initiative. APSP Chairman of the Board Gene Fields will seat the first Board of Regents of the Career Institute in January.
“We’ll be looking for team-oriented individuals who have great communication and creative problem-solving skills,” says Carlson. “The opportunity we have to collaborate and find new ways to address old problems is tremendous. To do this, we need individuals who are committed to lifelong learning and who are open to exciting ways of thinking.”
Once it is seated in January, the Board of Regents will get right to work on a very aggressive project plan.
"There’s a lot to do," says Fields. "And like every successful team, trust will be the key ingredient to success.”
Priority applications are due by January 4, 2008. To nominate yourself or a qualified peer, please see the evaluation criteria and application here. |
