What is Industry Currents? How can I contribute?

Industry Currents is a weekly news bulletin for APSP members. It highlights important goings-on within your trade association and your industry. You can contribute by sharing an experience, a process, or an event that exemplifies best practices in your area of operation, Region, or Chapter.

Suggested Topics:

• value of APSP products and services
• initiatives that promote the pool/spa/hot tub industry
• innovations affecting the industry
• consumer-related or technical research
• watchdog alerts for governmental or regulatory activities
• APSP government-related activities and positions
• learning experiences you’d like to share as a retailer, builder, service company, manufacturer, etc.
• how-tos on tricky or technical problems for builders, service companies, etc.
• charity or pro bono projects undertaken by your company, Chapter, or Region
• noteworthy events in your APSP Council, Committee, Chapter, Region, or APSP Affiliate
• personnel changes in your APSP Board, Council, Committee, or other APSP volunteer entity
• quirky or amusing facts, stories, or jokes about the industry (keep it clean).

Send us a brief bullet of 75 words or less by 5:00 p.m. Wednesday of each week. Your story can be longer—up to a few paragraphs—but the first 75-word paragraph should summarize what’s important.

Your entry should explain the news, its importance to APSP members, and how to get more details. Include web links and/or a contact person's name, e-mail, and phone number. You may include an attached PDF or other supporting background information.
