New APSP/ANSI Standard for Aboveground Pools Now Available
The objective of APSP-4 is to provide recommended minimum guidelines for the design, manufacturing, testing, care, and use of aboveground/onground residential Type-O non-diving swimming pools and their components. Aboveground/onground residential Type-O non-diving swimming pools are defined as pools with a shallow area water depth of 36 inches minimum at the wall and a water depth of 48 inches maximum at the wall.
The APSP-4 2007 standard was prepared by the APSP Aboveground/Onground Residential Swimming Pool Committee, chaired by Greg Aymes, Buster Crabbe Swimming Pools. Consensus was developed in accordance with the American National Standards Institute’s (ANSI) requirements.
