APSP Invited to Exhibit at Annual ICC Conference
APSP plans to exhibit at the 2007 International Code Council’s Annual Educational Conference September 30-October 3 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. APSP has been actively working for the ICC adoption of the ANSI-7 Standard. If your local code or building official is attending this conference, let them know that APSP will be there at Booth 227.
Carvin DiGiovanni, APSP Senior Director of Technical and Standards who will staff the booth, said the show will be an excellent venue to inform code officials around the country about the ANSI/APSP-7 Standard for Suction Entrapment Avoidance, consumer safety, and other APSP standards and technical resources.
The 2007 ICC Conference features green building presentations, a demonstration of the SMARTcodes system, more than 30 educational sessions, opportunities for certification and testing, and a spotlight on plumbing, mechanical, and fuel gas disciplines. The Code Council’s SMARTcodes, a cutting-edge system that automates code compliance checking, will be demonstrated during a symposium, “Information Technology—Solutions for Code Officials.” The session includes panel presentations with code officials and IT providers. The symposium provides information technology solutions to meet administrative and enforcement needs of building departments.
The ICC develops the codes used to construct residential and commercial buildings, including homes and schools. Most U.S. cities, counties, and states that adopt codes choose the International Codes developed by the ICC. Click here for the ICC conference website. |
