Pools of Fun Golf Benefits Breast Cancer Efforts

APSP member Pools of Fun of Plainfield, IN, is pleased to announce it has raised more than $10,000 from its second annual golf benefit. All proceeds go directly to the fight against breast cancer. The event was hosted September 9, 2007 by Rita and Larry Baker and the Team of Hope at the Deer Creek Golf Club in Clayton, IN.

Funds raised included corporate sponsorships and entry fees from more than 120 golfers. Local sponsors included Andy Mohr Ford, Automatic Pool Covers, BioGuard®, Fiduciary Trust Services, Indy Gas Works, K & K Fence, Midas of Brownsburg, Pace Financial Group, Pool Side Plus, South Central Pools, Superior Pool Products, Beacon Sign Company, and Deer Creek Golf Course.

Pools of Fun, Indiana’s largest inground pool builder, lost a beloved colleague, Debbie Ogle, to breast cancer in 2001. Since then, the company has sponsored the Team of Hope in an effort to raise awareness and find a cure for a disease that affects one of every seven people.
