The Dr. R. Neil Lowry Grant is a $5,000 grant that honors a public health official or department who has made outstanding contributions to advance the public’s health and safe use of recreational water in pools, spas and waterparks through educational, safety, operational, and technical programs.
The grant is given in the memory of Dr. Robert Neil Lowry, a long-time member of APSP and Recreational Water Quality (RWQC) Committee, who influenced the pool and spa industry. For over 25 years, Dr. Lowry shared his industry expertise as a consultant to the government and private industry.
Grant nominations are accepted from public health officials/entities and from APSP members. Nomination forms for the Dr. R Neil Lowry Grant must be received by 5:00 p.m. (EDT) Friday, May 19, 2017. The winner will be selected by the RWQC in May and the award will be presented at the 2017 National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) Annual Educational Conference & Exhibition (AEC) on July 12, 2017.
